Forecast today: Rain, cold and windy

My son has the book Duck and Goose, How are you feeling? By Tad Hills.

One page, either duck or goose, I can’t remember which one, is strolling through a field. It’s a dark, grey day, the flowers are closed and he is ‘sad.’

The next page, duck or goose is jumping for joy. The sky is blue and dotted with white clouds, the sun is shining and the flowers are open and bright. He is ‘happy.’

I think that is why I have been a little sad recently.

We had snow on Mother’s Day, and it’s been dark, windy, rainy and cold since.

However, the rain doesn’t always make me sad. In the spring when the rain is accompanied by some warmth, I love watching the rain, playing in the rain and listening to the rain. And I love the smell of rain, just after a spring shower.

It has been dark and gloomy here for several days. I'm ready for that pretty weather!

When I lived up north, dark, rainy days depressed me a little. I think maybe because it was so cold for so long that I just wanted to get OUT already!

In Florida, it's not so bad. The yucky, rainy days here make me feel cozy. I like to cook and clean and then curl up with a book on my couch on those days.

I feel the same way! This overcast, windy, cold greyness is just depressing, and enough already! We haven't had tons of rain, just cold, damp misery.

Snow on Mother's Day? You didn't tell me that! Oyh! I feel for you. I hope the sun comes out soon so you and E can go out and play!

Cheers :-)

Oh me too me too! I love the smell of rain. Especially the smell of a wood fire in the rain. Curl up with a big ol' cup of tea and a book. Then of course I get a big stuffed tiger in the face but it's good while it lasts...

Lots of yummy love,

Dawson has this book, too, we haven't read it yet though. *lol* I love finding blogs that have kids the same age as Dawson. I look forward to following your blog. And if you have a bread machine you have to try the cinnamon rolls, they are so easy.

Thank you for stopping by and making my SITS day so fabulous!

I usually like rain to but now i want it to stop already so I can see some blue sky--it DOES become depressing after awhile!
