The Best Feature on a Car Ever

The first vehicle I purchased was a two-seater Mazda B2200 pickup truck. It was a base model, with a cassette player, manual windows and locks.

It was also missing cup holders and a clock, two features I insisted on when my truck died too early.

My next vehicle was a Honda Civic SI. The entire Honda experience was disastrous and I will save my I Hate Honda rant for another blog posting. But the Civic did come with all the bells and whistles – power windows and locks, power and heated mirrors, power seats and my favorite – a sunroof.

When this car died, I bought a Pontiac Sunfire. My first four-door vehicle. This car went back to the basics – manual doors and windows, but a remote with a button to open the trunk, which I loved.

Sadly, one of the speeds on the fan didn’t work, which meant, in winter, it looked like I was in a sauna, with moisture dripping from the inside or, if I turned the fan down, ice. It had a CD player, but it didn’t work.

When this car was written off, I test-drove a number of cars before purchasing the Ford Focus Wagon, which I still have.

So far, I love my Ford. It is also basic – CD player that works, all fan speeds that work, manual windows and doors, but a remote, and my absolutely favourite feature – heated seats.

I will take heated seats over a remote, power any thing, and even the sunroof. On cold days or when you aren’t feeling well, it’s like being wrapped in a blanket right from the dryer.

Although I have never had heated seats in a car I own I have sat in other peoples and I agree they are a lovely treat to be cherished. I would like my next car to have heated seats.

More cherished to me however is cruz control. I LOVE CRUZ CONTROL. One less thing to think and worry about. I enjoy not having to worry that I am speeding, I enjoy not having my ankle get sore (I have a bad ankles). For me the next car I purchase will hopefully have the curz options - it makes me very happy.

Put cruz control with heated seats and I think you have a car made in heaven.

Happy Friday!

You seem to have an unusual car. It seems strange to me that you would have heated seats but no power locks or windows. But I do love our heated seats in our Explorer, and I miss them when we are in the Escape. What is the remote for if you don't have power locks?

I covet your heated seats.

Ooooh, heated seats! That sounds heavenly. Although they do have the kind that plugs into a cigarette lighter. I've been wondering if I should buy one.

Oh, what I would give for heated seats! Then maybe I wouldn't have to start the car 20 minutes before going anywhere...probably not a good idea to admit that online, is it?

We will be looking for a new vehicle this summer, and that will be high on my wish list!

I have ALWAYS loved heated seats! Even here in Belize I turned them on in one person's truck once.

Cheers :-)

That sounds like the perfect solution to my husand always being too hot, and me being too cold.

Hmm.. wonder if I can get a heated seat cover!
must investigate.
