Rich for the weekend
There was a Ferrari parked in my work’s parking lot yesterday morning.
After I stopped drooling after the black beauty, I had a giggle – there is no way the owner works in editorial – and a suffered a small twinge of jealousy.
Wouldn’t it be great to be rich?
I am sure the rich have their share of troubles, but I want to be rich – and worry-free – for one weekend.
One weekend of buying what I want simply because it struck my fancy; of stocking my cupboards and freezer with enough great food to keep us fed for months; of going out for breakfast and dinner at our favourite restaurants; and of deciding to go on a trip and jetting off to some destination, bringing my entire family along for the ride.
Someone suggested once you got a taste for that kind of lifestyle, you couldn’t give it up.
I think if I had one weekend of carefree living, I would grab that chance, enjoy every moment and then be content in the life I am leading now.

Hmm food for thought. I could see it both ways actually.
If I was super rich, I would have a personal chef. Wouldn't that be awesome? I also would have a personal shopper.
Mmmmm... Super rich for one weekend. That's an idea I could really get behind. If you happen to find the magic to make it happen come visit me, okay?
Cheers :-)

It's a great dream. But let's face it. There's Lindsay Lohan in jail for at least 23 days. Michael Jackson couldn't keep it together.
Maybe it's better to just be us. Making do and happy.

Oh, to be able to buy what we need and even sometimes want without using all our math skills to keep track of the pennies. Sheer bliss I would think!
I know several people who are comfortably wealthy but had to work hard to get there. I think that makes a world of difference.
What is it about cars that make us so excited?? It's just a bunch of metal and an engine. Hmmm.
I'm not rich, but feel I am rich in other ways i.e. health, happy with my life, able to buy the food I need to survive, keep a roof over my head, great friends and a cat I love dearly - what more can you ask for.
If I win the lottery, I'll share some with you Lisa.
