Summer Holidays

My summer holidays usually fall in July.

Pre-child, I liked taking time off around my birthday. Last year, my daycare provider took her holidays in July so I did as well.

This year, my holidays are just about to begin and continue for two weeks.

While any holiday is a fantastic one, I am a little sad with the change in winter.
People, it’s cold in the morning. The outside temperature in the morning is about 15 C (59 F). I have been putting sweaters on my little guy in morning and am thinking of bringing my cape along for the morning ride.

While I will be happy if I have sun, I also want heat – July heat.

Welcome on summer vacation.

I totally understand this. I went out for my morning run the other morning and it was only 60 degrees - so sad and the it is getting dark earlier and chilly in the evenings. I would so take another month of July!

Bah, I live in Calgary - there IS no heat here! Mornings are almost always sweater worthy, with the exception of one or two days a year.

I just returned from holidays in the Okanagan where temps were above 30. I must admit I was okay with getting back to temps at least 10 degrees cooler! Canadian weather--it's is hard to ever be satisfied with it! Hope you still had a good holiday.

Where, in the world, are you? Here in Oklahoma we were at 100+ for weeks (high was 120) until back to back thunderstorms cooled us off ... for a minute! Now it's humid and headed back towards hot! Winter is a LONG way away!

Oh, I too dislike when it turns chilly too soon! I'm a summer gal myself! Thanks for visiting on my SITS day!

Happy Holidays to you, even if it is a bit chilly, it's still fun to celebrate!
